In conjunction with the 5th International Conference on Soft Computing as Transdisciplinary Science and Technology (CSTST'08)

We invite you to submit a paper to CAML'08 which will be held in Cergy-Pontoise - Paris, France on October 27-31, 2008. CAML'08 is an IEEE/ACM sponsored workshop covering a wide range of topics in the emerging field of M-learning. The aim of this workshop is to advance the state-of-the-art in M-learning design and theories, context-awareness in M-learning, and knowledge management for M-learning. CAML'08 in conjunction with CSTST'08 provides a forum for researchers and practitioners to present and discuss their research and experience in the field of mobile learning. We solicit both academic and industrial contributions covering mobile learning technologies, theories, systems, and applications. Topics of the workshop include, but are not limited to:

  • M-Learning on the Semantic Web
  • Ontology-based approaches for M-Learning
  • Ubiquitous Computing and M-Learning
  • Context Management for M-Learning
  • M-Learning for Corporate Training
  • Virtual M-Learning Environments (VMLE) and Collaborative M-Learning
  • Curriculum and Courseware for M-Learning and Training
  • Authoring Tools for M-Learning
  • Security Issues of M-Learning
  • Learning Management Systems (LMS) for M-Learning
  • Testing, Assessment and Quality Issues of M-Learning
  • Pedagogical Approaches and Theories for M-Learning
  • Gaming and Simulations in M-Learning
  • Informal and Lifelong M-Learning
  • New Tools, Technologies and Platforms for M-Learning
  • Infrastructure and Organizational Issue of M-Learning
  • Applications of Mobile Technology in Open, Distance, and Corporate Education
  • Case Studies and Applications.

Paper Submission

Authors are invited to submit original non–published academic and industrial research work related to the topics of the workshop. Submissions must be in an electronic form as PDF files and should be uploaded using the CSTST'08 conference's website http://sigappfr.acm.org/cstst08/submission.php . Full paper submissions should be in ACM format with a limit of 6 pages. Submissions will be peer-reviewed by at least 3 independent reviewers of the PC. At least one author should attend the workshop to present the paper. The conference Proceedings will be indexed by ACM Digital Library and published with an ISBN.

Important Dates:

Paper submission (extended): August 23, 2008

Notification of acceptance: September 5, 2008

Camera-ready papers due: September 17, 2008

Author registration: September 17, 2008
