this is a release of the weekly PROLEARN Academy Newsletter. With this approach we wish to inform you respecting the news in PROLEARN Academy about which are the new added elements, which are the events organized for the next week and some information about the projects registered in PROLEARN Academy.

3rd Annual Forum on e-Learning Excellence in the Middle-East 2010: Bringing Global Quality to a Local Context Place: Dubai, Date: Feb 01, 2010 - Feb 04, 2010
The 4-day, 3rd Annual Forum on e-Learning Excellence in the Middle-East 2010: Bringing Global Quality to a Local Context. This calls for presentations, keynote addresses and research work on ICT Innovations, e-Faculty, e-Training, m-Learning, e-Portfolios, Instructional Design, Digital Libraries, Learning Objects & Repositories, e-Learning Innovation, Content Development, etc. Apart from keynote addresses, coming from academic and corporate sectors, the forum will have interactive discussion forums, post-forum workshops, other interactive activities and networking opportunities, gala dinner and award ceremony to award Best Paper and Best presentation plaques to winners. The forum, as in tradition will end with announcement of the theme for the following forum.

*** PROLEARN Academy - Measure
Our auto observation tool for scientific communities contains at present 1594 projects, of which 238 are newsfeeds, 95 newsletters, 533 web sites, 74 mailinglists and 654 blogs. The number of caught entries totals 202042 for the feeds, of which 3158 were retrieved last week. For the newsletters totals 4178 entries, of which 13 were retrieved last week, for the mailinglists there are 117797 entries, of which 414 last week and for the blogs there are 264886 entries, of which 387 last week.
The feed project with the highest activity level last week was Handelsblatt.com, with 1496 entries, 109 more than the top-project of the week before - Handelsblatt.com. The top mailinglist project last week was LM_NET: Library media specialist information exchange, with 231 entries, 58 less than the top-project of the week before - LM_NET: Library media specialist information exchange. The top blog project last week was Read/WriteWeb, with 76 entries, 27 less than the top-project of the week before - Read/WriteWeb.
